Wheaton Science Packaging is a division of Wheaton Industries Inc. in Millville, NJ. Although Wheaton Industries is newly incorporated in 2006, we were originally founded in 1953 by Edward Wheaton as Wheaton Scientific, part of Wheaton Glass which was founded by his grandfather T. C. Wheaton in 1888. Wheaton glass was originally founded to produce molded glass containers for the apothecary industry. The company quickly grew pioneering new products and manufacturing, including glass tubing, tubing vials, and plastics including containers and closures. Wheaton Scientific was founded to serve the unique requirements of the Research and Diagnostic markets.
